OH! i didn't mean all of Dazai's relationships were deeper, just that he's had deeper ones than Chuuya has (ie, Oda, maybe more depending on how you view Ango and I know some people feel that way about Kunikida.) I do think that Dazai both does and doesn't want to have that sort of relationship with people at the Agency. The struggle of getting closer but also possibly getting hurt vs not getting close and being able to approach things without emotions clouding anything.

THE HUMANITY THING IS SO TRUE! It's really interesting, especially that they both approach it so differently that it's almost not understandable to each other!
